Responsibilities

Columbia Management, a division of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to be based in Boston. The Quantitative Analyst is responsible for understanding and analyzing investment data using quantitative tools. In this role you will work directly with the Investment Oversight and Asset Allocation teams to develop and maintain tools to analyze asset allocation, equity and fixed income portfolios.

Required Qualifications


* BS or BA degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other related field.

* Strong technical skills with experience using either statistical packages.

* Programming experience using C++, VB, VBA, or equivalent.

* Ability to work both as a team player and as an individual research analyst.

* Strong communication skills.

* High degree of ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications


* 2+ years experience as a quantitative analyst in investment management with knowledge of quantitative methods.

* Knowledge of Barclays POINT system.
