A leading Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Equity Valuation Controller to join their team and be an integral part of their Valuation Governance processes and reporting.
A leading Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Equity Valuation Controller to join their team and be an integral part of their Valuation Governance processes and reporting. This role has arisen to due an internal transfer and are seeking someone with Fair Value Measurement policies under US GAAP. This is an ideal opportunity for someone in search of a high profile role to key stakeholders of the business
Responsibilities
· Price Testing: Independent validation of trading positions' valuations, ensure completeness and accuracy. This includes on-going review and enhancement of Price Testing methodology and processes.
· Valuation Adjustments: Review validity and calculation methodology of valuation adjustment, on-going review of market inputs into the adjustments.
· Working with Line Production product controllers in reconciling, substantiating and signing off inventory associated balances in the General Ledger at month end
· Valuation Governance processes: PC being the lead of the Product Valuation Working Group, partner with Front Office, Strategic Risk Management (SRM), Quantative Strategy (QS), and Valuation Risk Group (VRG) to ensure strong governance processes are executed and policies compiled with
Requirements
· University degree 2:1 minimum (preferably in a quantitative discipline)
· Desirable qualifications: ACA, CIMA, CFA
· Product Control Experience; Ideally within Equity functions
· Experience with Valuation Governance processes and reporting
