Financial Reporting Analyst

SABMiller Europe is the European division of SABMiller PLC group, with its Hub office based in Zug, Switzerland. The Hub comprises some 25 senior managers for Europe including the Executive Committee (Exco), and is also currently supported by a small centre in Budapest providing accounting services for Europe along with a regionally focused consolidation and reporting team in working. The Hub team is independent from the Operations and Procurement teams also based in Switzerland.

Based in the Hub Zug office, the Financial Reporting Analyst will prepare analysis and reporting on Europe regional results, forecasts and planning. The role is also responsible for supporting the FP&A Manager Europe in delivering selected key Hub projects across the Europe region.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager Europe, the individual will work closely with the Hub finance team, country senior finance teams and commercial teams throughout the region along with the regionally focused finance team based in SABMiller Plc. Whilst this is a reporting analyst role, the person will interface with many senior team members.
Job description
- Development of market reporting and analysis requirements across all key processes to support financial submissions.
- Providing clear analysis of monthly business performance of European markets supported by insightful commentary for plc.
- Analysis of Europe regional budgets and strategic plans, helping to identify trends, opportunities and risks, and key areas for enhancement of operating performance.
- Liaising with central hub team to review standard reporting output for monthly results, forecasts and plans reflecting market and consolidated hub information.
- Production of Europe specific reports and analysis.
- Support regional FP&A Manager in delivery of trading statements, interim and preliminary external announcements.
- Develop benchmarking report to regularly and effectively communicate insights available from benchmarking data across the region to support markets in driving efficiencies and best practice.
- Providing financial support for regional commercial team including reporting and analysis of innovation across Europe.
- Assist regional FP&A Manager in ad-hoc project work.
Who we are looking for
- Certified accountant, CA / CIMA preferred
- Minimum 6 years of professional work experience in an international company, ideally with proven experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
- Experience in beverage or FMCG industry is an advantage
- Excellent level of computer literacy & modeling
- Good attention to detail essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, demonstrated through communication at senior management level
- A positive and proactive work ethic with a 'Can Do' attitude
- Quick learner with an ability to solve problems outside of their comfort zone
- Good organizational skills with an ability to priorities workload appropriately
