Research & Analytics provides a diversity of research support, information skills and analytic capabilities in order to perform and deliver a variety of research reports and information for internal and external clients.

The Analyst team is responsible for delivering relevant and value-adding industry research, analysis and thought leadership support to client service and IFS partners and staff as well as to external clients based upon deep and recognized expertise.
Position/Program Requirements
Knowledge Preferred:

An Analyst III is responsible for delivering relevant and value-adding industry and company research, analysis and thought leadership support to client service and Internal Firm Services (IFS) partners and staff as well as to external clients. Responsibilities include developing and supporting a significant portion of industry, company and issue-based analysis for client service and business development teams. An important part of this role includes participating in relevant client engagements/business development efforts as a subject matter specialist, often as a manager of a sub-set of expertise-based deliverables. May also be responsible for ongoing support of the team through overseeing work of multiple project teams, determining training and communication needs in collaboration with R&A leadership, executing day-to-day tasks, and responding to inquiries and requests.

This role requires a deep understanding of an area of specialization/focus (typically an industry sector or technical area) as well as the financial analytics discipline, plus an ability to leverage this expertise to provide analyses (e.g., strategic, financial and operational) to internal and external clients. A significant competancy in one or more sub-sectors of the industry cluster covered is also necessary. Strong research and analytical skills are required, as are strong written skills. This role is required to contribute to the development and support of new and differentiating industry point of view and expertise, frequently via the development and presentation of Analyst Briefings. Excellent presentation skills are required.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrated analytical ability. Advanced work in a business-related discipline, such as finance, economics, statistics, investment banking, investment management, or trading a plus. Strong performance record in the financial research career track at PwC or,at a respected external institution or within a specific industry a plus
Strong leadership skills and a commitment of furthering the development of the research and analysis organization. Substantial experience in the areas of financial analysis and company/industry research and analysis. Concentrated knowledge of one or more areas of the relevant industry or function (e.g., Valuation and Modeling), or geography, along with an established reputation in this regard with both client service teams and peers. Commitment to delivering high-quality work products and client service. Established personal network relevant to the industry, including individuals at all levels of PwC's LoS, industry groups and externally in industry, trade associations, academia and other relevant arenas. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

This role serves on a team of specialized analysts with responsibility for overseeing the development and support of a discreet portion of client deliverables, including industry reports, company analyses, tailored analytics and other client deliverables. Responsibilities include process ownership, quality review oversight and the management of the efforts of contributing analysts. Superior problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills.

Additional Information
Also needed are demonstrated experience developing stakeholders' quantitative models, including statistical and economic impact analyses, to contribute to enterprise-wide strategy issues.
Demonstrated success articulating complex financial information and large amounts of data to senior audiences through the effective use of data visualization techniques.
