Responsibilities
Assist with the management of the compliance staff serving as a go to person for technical tax questions and other compliance concerns. Individuals in this role are responsible for the review of federal and state unitary, combined and stand alone income tax returns and for the less complex entities within the group as well as the review of the associated estimated timing, true-up and account reconciliation processes for these entities. Additional responsibilities include researching and analyzing proposed business transactions as well as tax law changes to determine tax impact and other tax analytical work as required.
Qualifications
- BS in Accounting
- CPA and/or MST
- 4-6 years of tax experience in industry and/or public accounting including multi-state work (must include some experience in a reviewer capacity)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Tax Preparation Software Products
- Proficiency with RIA or CCH online research tools
- Must have strong analytical skills, communication skills, and be detail oriented
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
